Parked Cars
Block Emergency Vehicles

It has come to our attentions that recently City of Dallas Emergency vehicles responding to a 911 call in our neighborhood had a difficult time maneuvering around parked cars.
Cars were parked on BOTH sides of the street, end to end within 5 feet of the stop sign/ end of the street.  Neighbors witnessed emergency responders exit their vehicle  in order to direct the driver around these parked cars. This delayed their response time, and could have jeopardized anyone involved in the emergency. Please don’t obstruct their path for your convenience.
If  you park on the street please be aware of how close you are to the stop sign, other cars., and the corner. Also be aware if your street becomes difficult to drive down due to on street parking. Maybe you could use your garage/ driveway .

Re-Zoning Recognized by Regency

The HOA Board continues to monitor the re-zoning request made by a developer near our neighborhood.  This re-zoning is taking place at the intersection of Haverwood and the Dallas North Tollway. The current owner of the land has proposed  the construction of a high-rise, multi-family building.  Most neighbors in our surrounding neighborhoods, as well as ours, find  this construction project objectionable.  Regency Park HOA has been working closely with neighboring HOA’s and City Council Member Ron Natinsky . For more information or to take part in this please contact         Judy Pulice at                             judypulice@sbcglobal.net

Are You a V.I.P. ?

Police Department have created a program for citizens who want to do more to contribute to neighborhood safety. V.I.P. stands for Volunteers In Patrol.  The Dallas Police Department facilitates classes educating citizens on the ins-and-outs of patrolling their neighborhood safely.

Participants  apply to attend the program, and are accepted once their background check has been cleared.  This class
costs you the participant and the neighborhood nothing, but adds great value for all neighbors!  Upon completion of the course, a certificate will be issued and graduates are  able to participate in the RPHOA VIP patrol.

Anyone interested in joining
may contact Ralph Barnaby at barnabyrphoa@sbcglobal.net

To sign up for an upcoming VIP class please contact  Paula VanWagoner  at the Dallas North Central Station at 972.233.2253Remaining 2009 class schedule can be viewed here.

Lights, Cameras, Action!

“Thank you for  installing the cameras!  I feel safer already”

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to this .”

*notes from neighbors

Neighbors have contributed in an incredible way toward the “Security Fund”!

We are excited to announce that we have received ALMOST enough donations to purchase another camera for our neighborhood!

These cameras are an added way to create a safer environment for our homeowners. We are excited to  be among the other neighborhoods who have also installed cameras in their neighborhoods.  Since installation of cameras began, among our surrounding neighborhoods, as well as ours, the crime rate has been lowered.  As a reminder: we have committed to keeping security donations separate from our regular budget funds.  The cameras are purchased through donations only!

Many of your neighbors have already contributed to this fund, and an outpouring of support has come in this year confirming that YES neighbors want, and like these cameras!

Thank You For Your Support!
